Ancient tombstone - Pontius from the 3rd century AD

The stone tombstone to Pontius was found in the late 19th century near Kerestinec, and since 1896 has been kept at the Archaeology Museum in Zagreb.

The tombstone is very interesting due to its rustic appearance, and it is believed to have been carved by a domestic master in the 3rd century AD, to be placed on one of the many Roman necropolii in the Zagreb area, near the road that connected Emona (Ljubljana) and Siscia (Sisak).
